99' is a movie inspired by real events with an interesting tag line - Part Fact, Part Fiction, Pure Fun is all set to hit theatres on 1st May 2009. 99 stars Kunal Khema as Sachin, Boman Irani as Rahul , Cyrus Broach as Zaramud, Vinod Khanna as JC, Soha Ali Khan as Pooja, Mahesh Manjrekar as 'AGM, Amit Mistry as 'Kuber, Simone Singh as 'Jahanvi' It is much about 'What could have been' as it is 'What really happened' 99 movie is about the life stuck at 99 which is just one short of a century. Sachin and Zaramud who are street smart ends up in stealing of all cars around, the one car they shouldn`t have stealed but also end up in crashing the car as well. The car belongs to 'AGM' who is a small time bookie who runs a cyber cafe as a front for his operations takes both on to do his dirty work until they worf off the car that they crashed which is going to take long time paying. Rahul in Delhi an ordinary man, with an ordinary job in hand who is working as a bank manager but with an extraordinary quality of gambling. He never loses on any bet is his talent. He places an important bet on 'India-New Zealand one day match in November 1999 and he is not aware that the match was determined already even before the first ball was bowled. Rahul loses the bet and ends up owing money to 'AGM' and he has got just 3 months to pay up. How do Sachin, Zaramud and Rahul overcome their problems on thier own ways is the twist in the movies.
